The Gazette (it's also pronounced "Gazetto" in Japanese), is a J-Rock band of the Visual-Kei genre. The band "GazettE" was formed in late 2001 to early 2002 and is currently signed to Peace&Smile Music Company, which has under it's label the likes of Miyavi, Kagrra, Kra, and also Alice Nine. The band changed their name to the GazettE when they released their second full album, NIL (nilera) in mid February of 2006.
Gazette was formed in February of 2002 with the autentic line-up of Ruki (vocals), Uruha (1st guitar), Aoi (2nd guitar), Reita (bass), and Yune (drums). Their first single Wakaremichi was released on April 30, 2002. On January 21, 2003, Yune said that it was time to leave the band. It didn't take long to find another drummer. Kai (who is Yune's friend) joined Gazette several days later on February 1st. And its been the same ever since.

The GazettE uses their own original Ideas, original music, and they also pick out their own costumes ^^. They try to follow in what they believe in and in how they feel, they portray their passion and soul into their music and because of that, they are one of the most astounding bands of our current generation.
